Reinstatement of Major Gen Mohammed in Order - Army
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to media
reports that the human rights group-Amnesty International, has frowned at the
reinstatement of Major General Ahmadu Mohammed into military service, alleging
that he was involved in human rights abuses while he was the General Officer
Commanding 7 Division. The Nigerian Army wishes to thank the exalted body for
this observation.

Namadi Sambo’s Office Raided in Abuja
The office of the former Vice President Namadi Sambo has
reportedly been raided by security officials in Abuja. Mr Sambo is accused by the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of involvement into the alleged diversion of $2bn (£1.3bn) meant
to buy weapons to fight the militant Islamist group Boko Haram.
