Cool FM Donates N1M to Feed Needy at DUSTBIN Estate

Cool FM again extends a hand of charity to Lagos residents by donating a million naira (N1, 000,000) to the LOTS Charity Foundation, located in the area described as Dustbin Estate. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility sequel to hosting the hugely successful Cool FM Christmas Praise Jam Concert, the organization has annually committed N1M to charity over a period of eleven years, to support the running of different homes and non-governmental organizations.

Most recent recipients; The LOTS Charity Foundation provide food, practical and emotional support to children and residents of the Dustbin Estate who have resorted to the local refuse dumps as source for food.
Explaining the decision to donate N1M to the foundation, the Chief Operating Director, Steam Broadcasting & Communications Ltd., Ms. Evita Moussalli said: "The LOTS Charity Foundation sets out to give children a helping hand. It's that simple."
General Managing Director, Steam Broadcasting & Communications Ltd., Engr. Amin Moussalli also added that he was very moved by the idea of a N1M charity donation being used to feed 163 children, 11teachers and volunteers, thrice a week for 4 months. "I was so overwhelmed by the courage, sacrifice and warmth of Charity Founder, Ms. Tolulope Sangosanya and her team and immediately made the decision to enhance my support to the charity by providing employment opportunities where suitable openings arise." he said.
LOTS Charity Foundation is a nonprofit organization that caters to the needs of street kids and vulnerable children, creating access to a literacy center called the LOTS resource center in Dustbin Estate, Ajegunle, Lagos. Their mission is to facilitate basic literacy among vulnerable children, naturally; such initiatives uncover a lack of basic needs.  Hence, they deploy the use feeding the children as a means to get them to the center. Presently, there are 163 registered children enrolled and over 100 more on a waiting list.

Overcome with emotion, the Founder, LOTS Charity Foundation, Ms. Tolulope Sangosanya responded in appreciation, saying: "We are grateful for the contribution of Cool FM, without which LOTS Charity Foundation may have found their feeding plan more difficult to achieve. This wonderful donation will help us provide meals to many families and young people whose lives and health would be enriched by three-square meals. Thank you all".
